CLANFIELD FC - HISTORY

LEAGUE & FA COMPETITION DATA

Clanfield FC was formed in 1983 with the merging of Clanfield Seniors and Clanfield Boys Club to establish a great link between clubs and provide a loca club for the area.

In its relatively short history, Clanfield have built up a strong infrastructure both on-and-off the pitch, which has enabled the running of teams throughout the age groups for boys and girls, up to senior level.

The club enjoyed initial success in the 1990's in winning the Portsmouth & District League at all levels, with a double of the Hampshire League Division Three and Hampshire Intermediate Cup being achieved in 1998/99, in an historic year for the club.

The club briefly joined the Wessex League between 2004-2007, before being a founder member of the newly-formed Hampshire Premier League in 2007-08, finishing third in this inaugural campaign, before rising to second in 2008-09.

Clanfield's spiritual home is Peel Park, which has evolved over the years to accommodate the club's growth. However a new ground sharing partnership was formed with Havant & Waterlooville in 2023 to enable Clanfield's promotion into the Wessex League, as runners-up of the Hampshire Premier League Senior Division.

Under the stewardship of Lee Blakely, Clanfield achieved a creditable ninth placed finish at Step 6 in 2023-24.
