COWES SPORTS FC would like to express their sincere thanks to Arthur Munday (Secretary Amesbury Town) and the three car drivers who came to our rescue yesterday afternoon when our Mini Bus developed an accelerator problem on the A303 just five minutes away from the ground. Arthur kindly got three Members from the club to come along to pick up the players in their cars which delayed kick off by 15 minutes. Thankfully the Mechanic that came too sort the problem enabling us to get the bus to the ground and although we did have a problem after leaving the ground we managed to do a temporary repair allowing us to get back to the Island. ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU TO AMESBURY TOWN FC MEMBERS AND SECRETARY ARTHUR MUNDAY.

- Fareham Town FC
The League are pleased to publish a letter received from Fareham Town Football Club thanking Fawley AFC for this truly wonderful gesture. On behalf of Matt and Fareham Town Football Club thank you very much not just for this, but the long list of best wishes we have received from players, officials and supporters of Clubs throughout the League.
I would like on behalf of all the players and officials of Fawley AFC wish Matt Page a speedy recovery from his injury.
We were unaware at the time of the seriousness of this injury.
After hearing about his injury the players decided to donate the proceeds of our “football card” from our match against Bemerton on Wednesday to any fund that you have running for Matt.
I have made the figure up to £50 and if you can let me know how I can forward this to you, .
Good luck to Matt and to Fareham Town in the next round of the FA Vase.

- AFC Portchester
The League is pleased to publish a letter received by AFC Portchester.
I am just letting you and your club know that I visited AFC Portchester on Saturday as a neutral to watch the FA Cup game against Folland Sports. I attend a different ground each Saturday, mostly non-league and travelled from Kent to the match. I suppose the term for this hobby is “groundhopping” but I only go to Saturday games as I have a wife and 2 teenage daughters to dedicate the other 6 days of the week to.
The reason for this email is to pass on my appreciation to the whole match day experience at AFC Portchester. The club gives off a professional and community based set up, from the football of the first team (even though it was a heavy defeat, the score didn’t merit the 90 minutes) to the ball boys and families present from I gather a junior side, the friendly gateman, attentive barmaid on the small bar and the facilities that look fairly new and the continuing development of the ground with what looks like additional covered terracing almost complete.
I appreciated the free programme for today’s game and although just 16 pages, it looks very professionally printed/edited and I was impressed with its content and the hospitality/sponsorship advertised on offer. I’m sure the match day hospitality will be taken up for that special occasion.
I travel around the country and have taken in nearly 600 grounds, but I rarely re-visit a club if it isn’t local (Welling/Ebbsfleet/Dartford) or a club I support (Crystal Palace/Carshalton Athletic), but I have already mentioned to my wife to take in a day trip to PORTSMOUTH in the spring so I can take in a revisit and invite my family in towards the end of the match for a post-match drink.
Thanks again to you and your club again for a very enjoyable visit.
