  • Sydenhams Football League Cup

    A 65th minute strike by Toby Adekunie saw Team Solent lift the Sydenhams Football League Cup with a 1-0 win over Newport (IOW) at the Ray McEnhill Stadium, Salisbury this afternoon.

    The Man of the Match was awarded to Team Solent’s Sam Byles.

  • Division One

    Amesbury Town clinched promotion to the Premier Division last evening with a 3-1 home win over champions Portland United.

  • Division One title

    Portland United, with a 5-0 away win at Andover New Street today, clinched the Division One title at the first attempt following their promotion from the Dorset Premier Football League last season.

    Due to ferry problems tonight’s Premier Division fixture Horndean v Newport (IOW) has been postponed.

    Following their 3 – 0 win over Horndean last night, Salisbury became the 2015 /2016 Sydenhams Football League Premier Division Champions meaning Southern League Football returning to the Ray McEnhill Stadium next season.

    Premier Division side Blackfield & Langley and Division One Tadley Calleva have been named the Sydenhams Club of the Month winners for March.

    Newport (IOW) with a 2-0 win over Brockenhurst and Team Solent, 2-1 extra time winners over Portland United will meet in the Final of this season’s Sydenhams League Cup at Salisbury FC on Monday 2nd May K O 3.00pm

    The Semi-Finals of this seasons Sydenhams League Cup are being played this coming week.

    On Monday 4th April Newport (IOW) play Brockenhurst at Sholing FC KO 7.30pm and the following evening, Tuesday 5th April, Division One leaders Portland United play Team Solent at New Milton Town FC KO 7.45pm

  • Alf Peckham

    The League is sad to announce the passing of past Chairman and founder of the Wessex League Alf Peckham who died in hospital this morning aged 86.

    The League pass on their condolences to his family at this sad time.

    The Funeral will take place on Friday 15th April 2016 at the Southampton Crematorium East Chapel at 1.15pm and afterwards at AFC Totton.
