    In the 6th Round of the FA Vase Salisbury will have home advantage when they will play Ashford United (Southern Counties East League) on Saturday 20th February 2016.

    A Sam Wilson hat trick see’s Salisbury through to the 6th Round of the FA Vase with a 3-0 win over Nuneaton Griff. In addition the Club receive £2,500 from the prize fund. The draw for the next round takes place on Monday and details will appear here when known.

    In today’s two FA Vase fixtures there was heartbreak for Newport (IOW) who lost to a 118th minute strike in a 2-1 defeat at St Georges Park against Ashford United. Moneyfields finished with eight men in their 2-0 defeat at Dover Road against visitors Bristol Manor Farm.

    Winners of the Sydenhams Football League Club of the Month Award for December are Salisbury in the Premier Division and Alton Town in Division One. Congratulations to both Clubs.

  • FA Vase 5th Round Draw

    In today’s FA Vase Draw Salisbury are on the road again when they travel to Midland League Division One side Nuneaton Griff.

    Should Moneyfields win their re-scheduled match against Bristol Manor Farm they will face a trip to the winners of the Sunderland RCA (Northern League) v Sleaford Town (United Counties League) tie.

    Newport (IOW) will have home advantage, should they beat Ashford United and will host the winners of the Coleshill (Midland League) v Dunston UTC (Northern League) postponed fixture.

    Games will take place on Saturday 30th January 2016 and winning Clubs will receive £2,500 from the prize fund.

    Salisbury reached the next round of the FA Vase this afternoon when they defeated AFC Dunstable 3-0 at Creasey Park.

    Moneyfields and Newport (IOW) will try again next Saturday when they host Bristol Manor Farm and Ashford United respectively following postponements yesterday.

    The draw for the next round takes place tomorrow at The FA Headquarters.

  • Cyril Hurlock

    The League is very saddened to hear of the passing of Cyril Hurlock.

    Cyril was heavily involved in the formation of the Wessex League and played a major role in it’s development and has continued to follow the fortunes of the League despite poor health in recent years

    Our sympathies and condolences have been extended to his family.

    There will be a service and cremation at the East Chapel, Bournemouth Crematorium at 12.30 on Monday 25th January 2016
