- Groundsman of the Year Award
Each year the Football Association make Awards as above for the various Steps in the Pyramid. Most Clubs at our level rely on committed and enthusiastic volunteers and Groundsmen certainly come into that category and it is nice to see them both recognised and rewarded.
We are delighted to hear therefore that Niall Gibb of Blackfield and Langley was placed Third in The National Award Category for Step Five and Six Clubs and the League sends Niall it’s congratulations. The nominations for these Awards were made during the latter half of last Season and we would also like to offer congratulations to Trevor Diaper of Sholing who took Third Place in the Southern League Section.
