Peter Adams has been appointed the new Chairman of Whitchurch United Football Club following the resignation of previous Chairman Brian Jackman.
Peter comes from an illustrious footballing background having played in Ireland for Tolka Rangers as a youth and St Canices United as a senior, winning UCL League Representation caps and the Amateur League three times in succession.
He also won the North Hants Junior Cup with Priestly after moving to Whitchurch.
Peter then moved into coaching and was of the founding members of the youth section of Whitchurch United over 23 years ago. He managed several youth teams and took youth players forward into the Senior teams as under 18, A team and reserve team manager.
He has held almost all positions on the Committee during that time and was Vice Chairman to Gary O’Shaughnessy.
With the promise of a new 3G pitch and further sports ground facilities planned for Whitchurch in the next three years, the new Chairman said “These are exciting opportunities for Whitchurch United and something which the Committee and I will be working to maximise”
