Lymington Town FC to open upgraded changing pavilion in Hampshire

Where: St Thomas Park, Lymington, Hampshire, SO41 9ZG.

When: Friday 22 September at 6.15pm

Lymington Town FC (LTFC) will officially unveil their upgraded changing pavilion in Hampshire on Friday 22 September at 6.15pm, thanks to a grant from the Premier League through the Football Stadia Improvement Fund – the largest funders of non-league football in the country.

The grant has enabled Lymington Town to reconfigure and refurbish their existing changing pavilion, which was in danger of falling below the standard required by their Step 5 position in the Wessex League Premier Division.

The facility now comprises: improved and refurbished team changing rooms; two new officials’ changing rooms; a clubroom with a bar; a kitchen and spectator toilets.

The resulting upgraded facility now meets the requirements of the FA National Ground Grading Criteria and will enable the club to offer their players, members and spectators a much more enjoyable experience.

The project was made possible thanks to a £100,000 grant from the Premier League, through the Football Stadia Improvement Fund (FSIF), the sister organisation of the Football Foundation.

Funded with £6.5m each year from the Premier League, the FSIF is the country’s largest provider of grants towards projects that help improve the comfort and safety of lower league football grounds in both the professional and amateur game. These improvements range from new football stands and turnstiles to floodlighting and improved provision for disabled supporters.
