The club was formed by John Foster and 3 local lads as a youth team in 1969 and has made a steady progression through the league over the past 47 years reaching the hold Hants league in 1993. They joined the Wessex League expansion in 2004 in Division 3 and then became  founder members of the Hants Premier league in 2007 when the Wessex discarded the Third Division.

The first 5 seasons in the Hants Premier League were a struggle for the club and led to the withdrawal in 2012. However all was not lost and the club rejoined at the start of the next season in Division 1 and ended as runners up to gin promotion back into the senior division. 2014-2015 saw the club take the Senior Division title and capture the combination championship for the second season which they have won again this season.

In recent times the committee has worked tirelessly on their ground and the place has undergone considerable improvement to meet the ground grading required to successfully make the next step up in to the football non league pyramid and following a top three finish in the Hants premier this season, the club will ply its trade in the Sydenhams Wessex Division One at step 6 for the 2016-2017 season.
